Our Work
Find out, in just a few lines, how we cooperated with some of our clients and their industry to reach their goals and milestones, most of them renowned companies from the North America
Grindr is the world’s largest social networking app for gay, bi, trans, and queer people.
Challenge
Grindr was planning to migrate their backend from Ruby on Rails to Java, as they needed to scale to the growth the app was seeing. Initially due to the amount of user traffic, the challenge primarily involved launching the rewrite to production while still maintaining the same performance and experience their users had come to expect.
Solution
We provided development services for API, backend, mobile, web, QA and operations. We worked under quality metrics standards and 90% code coverage. We became their leading partner, providing over 30 engineers simultaneously, working from our offices in Argentina and traveling periodically to the USA.
Spot On delivers food service and retail solutions to the largest and highest volume businesses across the United States, including restaurant chains, amusement parks, and major sport league stadiums.
Challenge
The big challenge was to provide a capable team that could be responsible for a wide assortment of integrations with 3rd parties, handling everything from Credit Card transactions, inventory management, order processing and ETL processes. We also provided an entire team that could be dedicated to the frontend to start migrating from Vue into React. Providing and scaling a team that could take ownership of the product and ensure its success.
Solution
We administer tech leads that manage groups of multiple developers, playing a pivotal role in the success of the products Appetize offers to their client base. We provide mobile development services in native Android, as well as backend development services in PHP and Golang, together with QA. In total we have over 20 resources forming part of Appetize’s core team.
Everlane is a retail seller of clothes and accessories that differentiates showing transparency on their production costs and profits while maintaining quality products.
Challenge
In the midst of new growth, new brick & mortar stores, and new funding, Everlane was in the need of growing their software and data engineering team to handle the scale of their growing business.
Solution
We added a data engineer from our team to work full-time with Everlane and work with data pipelines for email, performance marketing and product analytics. A BI analyst was added to the team as well to focus from a business perspective on analytics for performance marketing, primarily using SQL and Looker. We also have React and Ruby on Rails developers working on the e-commerce platform they offer to their customers.
Flo is a company owned by Moen and Moen is a company that produces water appliances for kitchens and bathrooms with dedicated and beautiful designs.
Challenge
Flo has developed an intelligent water shutoff solution that relies on IOT, Cloud and Mobile services. In conjunction with Smart Detectors the Flo ecosystem helps the customer to be alerted of every water incident that could happen at home, directly to the user’s mobile phone. Flo also gives the user the chance to manage the devices using the mobile phone as a control panel. This all results not only in a safer home but in a real saving in the water invoice as in the home insurance rate. Such a revolutionary development could not be sustainable without a solid QA team, which is where we began working with Flo.
Solution
We added a QA Engineer to work side by side with mobile developers in order to catch every error and to correct it in the earliest possible stage. Including this perspective and also with the aid of automation tools such as Appium and TestNG, the End to End testing was made easy. The implementation of TestRail tool for Regression Testing tracking has helped substantially to ensure the expected quality results in every app release are met.
Sense360 provides companies in the restaurant industry with actionable data & intelligence about their customers, competitors, and industry.
Challenge
An important challenge of this project was to deeply start working as a team on complex data conversion processes and data pipelines. In the meantime we started to also contribute to data visualization web tools and mobile SDKs as well.
Solution
We’ve built the client dashboard used by leading brands in the industry, as well as a survey UI which collects tens of thousands of responses a month. The features we’ve built on their API service handles 10,000 requests a minute. Our data engineers have created Apache Spark processing scripts for the data pipeline, and have worked extensively with a variety of AWS services including S3, Redshift, and EMR.
Curtn is a location based, video-first dating platform that allows users to discover and connect in a more real and authentic way.
Challenge
The app needed to grow quickly upon being launched in 2019, to offer the user experience the user base would be expecting, and would need to be able to scale to handle the expected amount of users.
Solution
A backend developer, two iOS developers and a QA engineer are working full-time on the team, together with a part-time Scrum Master. The app is being built to meet the user feedback and the competitive market for dating apps. The backend consists of a Node.js API hosted in AWS. It’s a CI/CD process, powered by GitLab, including a series of manual and automated tests. Upon review and approval by QA and our client, builds are deployed automatically or manually depending on the environment. The Scrum Master oversees the work done by our team and shares with the executive team.
MyFieldAudits it’s a digital on-site inspection software used in care facilities that helps users complete field audits using an app developed for mobile devices.
Challenge
The complete replacement of a legacy system with the development from scratch of a new optimized app that included a backend, a web frontend, a backoffice and 2 mobile applications, performing a corresponding data ETL analysis and executing the migration of user information and statistics data to the new system without interrupting the service for the end user.
Solution
The architecture of the new system was designed to allow scalability and to collect massive data for proper analysis and business decision making. Because the application transfers a lot of information between the client and the server, the requests were optimized.
The client offers an online trading platform, where users around the world buy and sell digital items using real-life money and cryptocurrencies.
Challenge
When we started working with them, they were in the process of switching from server side rendered pages to a more modern React based SAP communicating with a RESTFUL API. A few months after this switch we started migrating some features from the RESTFUL backend to smart contracts running on EOS, thus the frontend had to be adapted to be able to read the smart contract state from the blockchain and to integrate with wallets in order to sign transactions.
Solution
We provided a team of frontend developers, PMs and QA that helped to carry out the modernization and decentralization of the frontend stack, and to develop new features and products that were introduced in both existing and new services.
The client is a global marketplace to securely trade bitcoin with millions of users, using 300+ modes of payment.
Challenge
This company is continuously growing their team to be able to bring an increasing number of services to an ever growing number of countries. One of the challenges they face is to comply with the KYC regulation in each country given that the documentation required changes from place to place.
Solution
We provided backend development services to help to improve and extend the module in charge of collecting KYC data in the system. As part of the improvements the module is being migrated to microservices.
